Extravaganza...

                       This Weekend is the big Ticket, I love The Springfield Extravaganza and Normally would set up there but between Kids ball games and Selling Trees and Shrubs I don't Have the Time! But I Do have the Time to Run down And Buy a lil Junk and Honestly Can't wait!!! There Are Oodles and Oodles of Good Junk and Unusual Things! Brad and I love to know were Getting a good deal and taking home something that someone will love and cherish for a very long Time! I Have this Idea In my head that being a Junk Lady isn't all that bad anymore.. Its actually a great thing, People enjoy looking and buying our stuff and It gives me a certain Pride Knowing that!

South is where my Heart feels at home....

           Headed back down to Nashville and boy oh boy do I miss it! We have one of the best loads of junk we have ever had and I'm beyond excited about it... I got the feeling we may sell out! Right now I'm trying to get into the Country living fair and I'm really excited about that I think we would do really well down there and to be honest it would be a true honor to be at the fair. Country living Magazine has been known for so long and I have always been a faithful reader and get many ideas from the articles...So cross your fingers because they have to evaluate you before you get in and I hope they all like our junk...I think we are finally coming into the good good, good stuff... The only seen once, only read about in books kind of junk! And I'm tickled from head to toe about all the upcoming shows! I cant wait to see what's in store for me and Mr. Greene...

Brad's Garden Center.....

               So here it is My Junk in one location and I have to say I LOOOOVVEE it! The Junk is scattered all over the place for everyone to come see and buy! I love the displays and Honestly feel that we could do really well here... The Love of My Life Owns the Store and I don't really know how to explain it but Our love for one of a kind junk is about the same... Which makes me believe we will do amazing things! There's just something about digging through someones Junk and Finding a One of A Kind Gem! Hello There's no High like Finding a Good ol Bargain! Bargain should have been my middle name, I Strive on finding the best deals! My Junk is special to me in the way that I hand pick each item... No Order forms, No Sales Rep, Just Me!

Back In the Day...

         Back in the day, they did things Right! The twenty's, The Fashion and the pleasure of dressing as if your going to a fancy occasion even if your just going to the store... They wore what they felt, The beadwork the flare it was an incredible way to present yourself! And went on for many years 30's,40's, and 50's & 60's! I love to know that people cared about Fashion, Now a days you can only find it in the cities or fancy areas! Out where I'm from Fashion comes a lil short, Now don't get me wrong I'm a girl that loves a good pair of blue jeans and cowboy boots but I also Like to get all dulled up... And Its almost as if you have a certain since of pride when your more dressed up! Some of my Fashion Gods are Rachael Zoe, Nina Garcia, Love Love Love MaryKate and Ashley's style...They amaze me with their different looks! Karl Lagerfeld Is Truly Amazing, His work is lovely and absolutely exquisite! Some Things I'll Never Get to see But read about are Like Paris Fashion Week Good Lord I Would have a stroke around all that style not even Fashion.. Fashion can Be bought, Style Is something that comes Within Someone... Paris Fashion Week Amazes me The people Are just Beyond My Wildest Dreams, Clothes are A Devotion to me. I love them And The way they can take an Average Person and make them feel Beautiful! It Drives my Boyfriend Wild that I just stand in front of the closet he built me working on an outfit but its art what I do... Making the perfect outfit work and look good is like a Art Project! I love to mix styles and I'm A vintage Kind of Gal and Love to have things that I know can't be bought in stores! Having things I buy from Vintage stores or Flea Markets make me Feel One of A Kind and Make me Appreciate it more When I Get A Compliment!
       One of These Days I'll Fly to the Big City and See all The Style and Grace up close and personal!!!

Spring A Ding A Ling.....

   Okay Ya'll I know it's been awhile since My Last Post but boy oh boy I've been Busy... Between Setting up for the greenhouse or Buying Junk, We've been working day light to dawn... And have I got A good Presentation of Junk For you! Flowers, Shrubs, Trees Galore and Plenty More.... I'm talking Good Junk We have it all finally set up and Can barely keep it stocked... People like our junk here in this lil Town...We Are just so Ready for the Yard sales and Flea Market! I've Got an Amazing Outlook On this Junking Season, If you're Willing to sell I'm willing to Buy... And were Hoarders of All Kinds of junk and do not oppose the Unusual kind! We LOVE Unusual, That's what makes junk so Fabulous! Coming into this season, Ready for some Bargains and Who isn't! Even Country Living's Magazine is posting all over the Cover that they are ready for a good Season of Bargains and Take a Look at the new Show! Now when I Say show I mean Décor! Hellloooo It's not Primitive Anymore Ya'll  It's Different! From Shabby Chic To Modern, Good Lord I love it! With Time Comes Changing And I'm Screaming Décor Is Changing Folks, Lets Evolve With it! Spruce up your Home, Buy something you like but are unsure of! Make your home your own! Show your Junk Off, HeHe.... Come into Brads Garden Center and Buy something for your self, If its a beautiful Piece of Jewelry or A One Of  A Kind Item.... The Fancy Junk Jewelry...

        I'm not quite sure what to name my Handmade one of a kind jewelry, Amazingly enough I'm drawling Blanks! There's far too many Angles I could go at, Funky Junk, Randomness, One Of A Kinders, or Something... It's making me post pone My Jewelry Party... HELP!!! Tell Me what Ya'll think... I can't decide on my own and it's such a hard decision. My Jewelry is new and Fresh with a touch of Vintage! It's truly so much fun to sell jewelry to people that really appreciate it! I on the other hand may sometimes wear far too much but Heck it's so hard to decide out of all my junk! I've always been in LOVE with Jewelry, From when I was little Stealing My Grandmas till now when I'm buying the rarest stuff from Nashville to Ohio... I think I was born to live in Nashville! People Dress so spectacular there, From Urban to Fancy Pants and I love it all... I've never had one set style, But Jewelry Stays with me... I like all styles and I am going to carry all different styles, I like to appeal to everyone! So Stay Tuned Folks!!!

Bunnies, Flowers, And Junk Galore...

  Wowee Am I ready for Spring... They say with Spring Showers Comes Spring Flowers, But I say Spring Brings The JUNK! Nice Folks get in the Mood to sell Their Junk and I Am more than Happy to come Scoop up their unwanted treasures... My whole life I've been A scavenger and Loved to peddle and find one of a kinders! The Flea Markets Shine in the Spring and I'm There Bright and Early for the Early Bird Special, With a nice cup of coffee and A Smile... I love The Flea Market, It's just such a great Atmosphere and It's Peaceful to me! Its Like A big Shopping Mall With Lots of potential... I have never walked out of the Flea Market Empty Handed... I have always had good luck with the people and the treasures...I can go on for days on how much I love the Flea Market... It's an place I've known since I was 5 and I'm Glad that my parents introduced me to when I was young, I thank them for it!

Hamilton....

   I Now Am a Lover of the Hamilton Area, I stopped at a shop there from a Craigs list Buy and I Found A Ton Of things I can Use... Super Industrial Pieces with a touch of Roughness to them, Which I love... The Guys there were so nice as well, Like I've said before I Like to buy from the friendly... It just makes my day better, knowing that I walked out happy and they were happy as well! And On Top of All of that Those nice gentleman gave me about 20 tires, Which I almost peed my pants, Because I was just nagging Brad (Who is the LOVE of my Life) That I needed Some Old Tires to Paint and Make planters! I hit the Tire motherload and I'm Headed back To Hamilton Saturday To hopefully get the rest of the Tires, And Did I metion that the nice fella gave me those tires for FREE!!!! =) Until We Meet Again, Junk On....

Down here at Pike....

   Sitting, Watching Junk sell... Hoping to see something one of a kind you know the fancy Junk... Something I can give a good home down in Nashville.. Now there's some folks that love the vintage fancy junk! I enjoy selling to those folks, their so darn friendly and they seem to love my junk, hehe... Small Town Junk will be setting up down at Nashville this weekend, And I'm bringing the fancy junk y'all... Were headed south for a lil fun Thursday, then onto the work, and buying... Here we go the auction just picked up, just bought a U.S. Constitution wooden replica Boat... Its a pretty good piece. People love boats and History! I HOPE to buy some good stuff here soon, but who knows, the auction is only a gamble =) But Good Lord do I love it!! Y'ALL get your wallets ready and your game faces on because the Junk Gypsy is headed South!!!!

This is my business, It's Small Town Junk... I sell all things Vintage and retro! From Vintage Bar signs to super awesome Retro Furniture.. We Have plenty, I like to collect and have just realized that I need to share My vintage with others... And of course give my collection a good home... It's all I can do to sit up at a show and sell my one of a kind things, but it's good to share and people love my stuff, and that makes me start to think I may be doing something right! I mean who knew you could love what your doing by selling junk...The further South I get the more people Appreciate it but it's coming north, slowly but surely... A Pair of Boots can say a lot about a person, If the boots they wear are slightly dirty that normally means their hard workers or just like to run through mud puddles...Hehe If they have more than a two inch heel that says their a lil bit of a fancy pants... If the boots they wear are originals, you know the ones with color, Design are truly one of a kind boots, Then their probably creative and not afraid to be who they are! If the boots they wear have that slightly shiny look to them, just stay away and far away, most have Attitudes and HUGE Egos, Hehe... But here's the thing I have all of these boots, so what does this exactly say about me? Does it prove that I love all boots or does it say that There's more to what I like about the boots... I don't have one set style, because when it comes to style you have to be constantly changing with time and in my mind style does not come from what you wear but how you present what you're wearing... When I dress Like I normally do with a mix arrange of colors and styles, I walk around with a smile... Knowing That no one will be dressed like me, Because I am one of a Kind!

Whhoooo Nelly, I have found the motherload!!!!

I'm telling you that I have found the motherload of all good junk! Don't believe me these people have been hoarders their whole life and instead of the dirty normal hoarder, They are hoarders of unusual, beautiful and very rare junk! I have to say while I'm there I feel a lil like the picker sisters or the the pickers... It's always been such a rush to find something that you know you can do something with... Why let History fade away in an old barn or fall apart in your attic.
Step up, Get your junk out, hehe.. Life passes too quickly and in order to keep our History running strong we have to step up, dust it off and let it shine! Junk Hoarders Pay attention, You're not wrong you know everything you have is special and your right! It's a lil bit of history, staring you right in the face! I have found that its okay to paint a few things and display and sell a few of my favorite things, as long as it goes to a good home... I'm happy to admit I'm A Hoarder, I'm A Hoarder of the Fancy Junk... I love all things that are rare and one of a kind, that's what I look for! Who wants things that are exactly the same as your Neighbors, YUCK... Be Different, Be Unusual... In Life being you is your greatest accomplishment!
